India transferred 50 thousand military to border with China

India redesigned in the last months of at least 50 thousand servicemen to the border with China in order to strengthen its position in this region, TASS reports with reference to the Indian MINT newspaper.

According to the publication, the Ministry of Defense of India transferred troops and units of the air force in three border areas. In general, about 200 thousand Indian servicemen are currently focused on the border with China, which, according to the information sources of the newspaper, is 40% more compared to last year.

Sources of publication also reported that the PRC also recently sent additional forces at the disposal of the Xinjiang military command, which is responsible for patrolling the controversial areas on the border with India in the foothills of Himalayas. China builds bunkers and runways in the border areas, indicated sources.

In May 2020, in the mountain region of Ladakh, the opposition arose on the border of the two countries, as a result of which collisions occurred and were killed on both sides. India and China were pulled into this area heavy artillery, tanks and aviation. However, after a series of negotiations in the military and diplomatic levels on February 10, Beijing and New Delhi began a mutual tack of troops from the border line.
