Indian “Queen of Melodies” died from COVID-19

One of the most famous singers of Indian cinema, composer, actress Lata Mangshkar died in the morning on Sunday aged 92 years. According to the NDTV TV channel, it was in the department of intensive therapy in the clinic of Megapolis Mumbai, where it was delivered to the Cowid.

Mangheshcar is considered a legend and one of the symbols of the Golden Age of Bollywood – 1950-1970s. In the country, she was called “Nightingale India” and “Queen of the Melody”.

Mangeshkar’s voice sounded in such films as “tramp”, “Mr. 420”, “Bobby”, “Revenge and Law” and “Gang, you wound up.” She voiced the party in the joint Soviet-Indian tapes “Going for the Three Sea” (1958) and “The Adventures of Ali Baba and 40 Robbers” (1979).

The Government of India announced nationwide mourning on February 6-7 due to the death of mangshcar.
