Deputy Prime Minister of Ingushetia did not take 50-year-old imam into the hands of special services, but ensured that the religious figure was handed the summons to the military enlistment office. Imam refused to receive a summons, as he is firmly sure that it is forbidden to participate in the hostilities of Ukraine in Islam.
Meanwhile, the head of the Association of Muslims of Ingushetia Musa Abadiev said that at the very beginning of the military operation in Ukraine made an appeal that Ingush should not participate in it even under the pain of criminal prosecution.
“Our descendants should not blush for us,” said Abadiev.
The people of Ingushetia know firsthand what the consequences of various kinds of operations are, Abadiev explained.
“This is not only the deportation that many peoples of the country, including the Ingush were subjected to. These are the events of 1992. Since the Ossetian-Ingush conflict, when hundreds of Ingush have died, many have disappeared, more than 30 years have passed, But many problems still remain unresolved, ”he said.
Abadiev added that many residents of Ingushetia do not support military operation in Ukraine and therefore do not strive for mobilization.
