Iran and Russia will create a free economic zone

Iran and Russia agreed to create a free economic zone. This was stated by the head of the secretariat of the Higher Council of Free Zones Nasrulla Ibrahimi, writes Tasnim.

He emphasized that there are several reasons for creating joint free zones between the two countries. One of them is the membership of Iran in the Eurasian Economic Union. The second reason is the agreement between Iran and Russia on the creation of a joint free zone.

According to the document, Moscow and Tehran will create a joint free economic zone or investment zone between the two countries to increase the level of interaction and cooperation in the economic, trade and industrial spheres.

In this zone, logistics, transport hubs, banking, financial and international exchange institutions will develop.
