Iran’s Foreign Ministry handed over the note of the Indian’s Saluation in Tehran due to the statements of the representative of the ruling Indian party “Bharatiy Ganaty Party” (BDP) Nipur Sharma, regarded in Muslim countries as insulting to the prophet Muhammad, reports Mehr.

According to the publication, the ambassador said that the position expressed by the representative of the BDP does not reflect the opinion of the Indian government, which applies with great respect to all religions. Also, according to him, Sharma is not a civil servant, but only held a position in the party. After the broken scandal, she was dismissed.

According to the information of the Indian NDTV television channel, the BDP leadership suspended the membership of Sharma in the party, excluding it from the main composition. The notes of protest to the ambassadors of India were also presented with Qatar and Kuwait, and a number of other Muslim countries and organizations, including Pakistan and the organization of Islamic cooperation, condemned the statements of the representative of the BDP.
