Iran hints at Azerbaijan: we will not tolerate anarchy at our borders

Anarchy, which can be caused by the presence of other countries, the Iranian borders are unacceptable, said the adviser to the Supreme Leader of Iran for international affairs Ali Akbar Velayati, who is quoted by the Iranian media.

As Velayati said, even a small incident in the countries of the region can cause the intervention of “violent and cruel countries”, such as the United States of America and Israel, “under the pretext of establishing a truce.”

According to him, Tehran “is ready to become an intermediary between Armenia and Azerbaijan, but sometimes some countries that won the conflict between two neighbors intervened and created problems.”

“Any violation of the border between neighboring countries will exacerbate tension in the region and can lead to local wars,” said Velayati.
