Iran rejects from terrorist attack at Azerbaijan Embassy

The representative of the Iranian Foreign Ministry emphasized the need to show restraint, maintain political calm and refrain from hasty steps after a recent attack on the Azerbaijani embassy in Tehran.

Speaking to reporters at a weekly press conference on Monday, Nasser Canani said that the investigation has proved the “personal motives” of the armed attack on the Azerbaijani embassy on January 27, which killed the Dippler-Card of the Dipplea and two more were injured.

Tehran, Kanani said, emphasizes the need to “show restraint, maintain political calm and avoid impulsiveness in this matter”, adding that the Iranian side “fulfilled all its legal obligations in this regard and will continue to do it.”

“We will consider this issue in this fundamental framework and we hope that this incident will no longer affect relations between the two countries,” he said.
