On the eve of Kurban-Bayramama, the ambassador of Iran in Azerbaijan Abbas Musavi met with 30 Iranian prisoners in one of Baku prisons. Iranian media reports.
During the meeting, Iranian prisoners told the ambassador about the conditions of the content and nature of criminal prosecution.
The vast majority of Iranians arrested and serving prison terms in Azerbaijan were convicted of crimes related to drug transportation.
Ambassador Musavi noted that Iran’s diplomatic representative office continues to effort through diplomacy to pardon, extradction or mitigate the punishment of his compatriots.
