Iranian hackers hacked e -mail of senior Israeli officials

A group of Iranian hackers hacking the e -mail of several prominent Israeli figures in the fields of politics and security, and tried to get information from them using methods of social engineering, Israeli media write.

According to information, among those whose email was hacked – ex -Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cipi Livni, the former Israeli ambassador to the United States, high -ranking military in reserve, holding positions in defense industry and in analytical centers. Using the information received in hacked mail, the hackers began to turn to other addressees, improving themselves for the owners of hacking mailboxes, reports Check Point.

According to the company, the operation lasted about six months. All owners of hacking postal addresses were informed about what happened.
