Iraq said US airstrikes on Baghdad “hostile an attack on sovereignty”

The US attack on the commander by the Hashdi Shabi Shiite militia is a “attack on sovereignty and undermines all the agreements.”

This was stated by the representative of the official representative of the United Operational Command of the Armed Forces Iraq Tahsin al-Khafaji.

“We have on the American side and coalition forces all responsibility for the consequences of this dangerous incident that threatens the security of our country,” he stressed.

Al-Khavaji called the attack the “hostile violation” of the sovereignty of Iraq and noted that it will have “dangerous consequences for the entire region.”

Note that one of the Khashdi Shabi Forces commanders Abu Bakr al-Saadi died as a result of an air attack in Baghdad.

The Central Command of the United States (Central Complex) also reported that the US forces carried out a unilateral attack in Iraq at about 21.30 local time in response to attacks on American troops. According to the American side, as a result of the attack, the commander of the Kataib Hezbollah group (the forces of the Shiite militia) was killed.
