Is Kosovo’s recognition may be withdrawn?

“more than 10 countries of the world are ready to withdraw their recognition of Kosovo,” said Serbian Foreign Minister Nikola Selukovich, reports VECERNJE Novosti newspaper.

According to the minister, currently there is a moratorium, according to which Belgrade does not lobby a review of the recognition of Kosovo, and Pristina freezes its efforts to join international organizations.

“We will not take the first step, because we will be proclaimed by provocateurs. We were ready to perform a moratorium agreed in the Washington Agreement, but in Pristina there is no goodwill to respect any agreement,” said Selakovich.

The Minister noted that the policy of “turning hands” of Serbia on the issue of Kosovo has no prospects. Serbia will continue to strengthen ties in the Balkan region and act as a “stability pillar and locomotive of economic development” Balkans.

Recall, the Serbian autonomous region of Kosovo and Metokhia proclaimed independence unilaterally in February 2008 and in recent years is actively trying to join international organizations, including UNESCO and Interpol. More than 60 countries are against the recognition of Kosovo, including Russia, India and China, as well as five Member States of the European Union.
