Israel will take measures to block the channels of the supply of weapons from Iran to Lebanon and will not allow strengthening Iranian positions in Syria.
This was stated by the new Minister of Defense of Israel Yoav Galant during a visit to the headquarters of the northern command of the Israeli Defense Army near the Lebanese border.
“The defense structures will prevent Iran from gaining a foothold in Syria and will block the channels through which Iranian weapons are transmitted to Lebanon and Hezbollah. Calm in the north is an important goal, therefore, in addition to maintaining calmness, we will take tough measures against any attempt to attack On Israeli citizens and military servicemen of Israel’s defense, ”the minister said.
The head of the Ministry of Defense arrived at the northern border of Israel along with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who stated that Israel considers his main enemy the “terrorist regime in Iran and its metastases in Syria and Lebanon.”
The prime minister emphasized that his country will not allow Tehran to receive nuclear weapons and will resist any attempts to place Iranian bases on the border of Syria and Israel.
