Italian coalition quarreled because of Putin

members of the future coalition of the Italian government quarreled because of the attitude to Russian President Vladimir Putin. The reason was the statement of the former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky “provoked” Russia’s invasion of Ukraine was written by Ukrainian media.

Previously, the current leader of the Forza Italia party, a member of the ultra -right coalition, who won the elections in September, Silvio Berlusconi said that he “restored the connection” with Vladimir Putin and accuses Zelensky of provoking the invasion of Moscow to Ukraine.

These statements caused a scandal in the coalition led by George Melony, who should take the oath as a prime minister next week. She put Silvio Berlusconi ultimatum: either he supports NATO position in relation to Russia, or is not part of its emerging government. Members of democratic and other parties are solid.
