Japan and Australia impose sanctions against Russia

The authorities of Japan and Australia announced sanctions against Russia due to the recognition by Russian President Vladimir Putin “DPR” and “LNR”. Earlier, the restrictions were announced by the United Kingdom, the European Union, the USA and Australia. We are talking about a number of economic and political actions, including in relation to individuals.

Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kisida urged Moscow “Return to diplomatic steps to resolve the situation around Ukraine.” According to him, the recognition of independence “LDNR” is a “violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.” Kisida announced the cessation of issuing visas to representatives of self-proclaimed republics and freezing their capital, a ban on export-import relations with the “DPR” and “LNR”, as well as for accommodation and operations with the new sovereign debt of Russia, informs the “New Gazeta”.

Premier Australia Scott Morrison also announced sanctions against Russia: a ban on entry and point financial sanctions against eight members of the Security Council are also applied to “LDNR” existing sanctions, “who relate to the Crimea and Sevastopol.”
