Johnson and Biden discussed rejection of Russian oil and pressure on Moscow

On Tuesday, April 12, US President Joe Biden and British Prime Minister Boris Johnson discussed the issues of strengthening military and economic support of Ukraine, as well as the need to stop the dependence of the West from Russian oil and gas, transfers Reuters.

“The leaders discussed the need to accelerate the assistance of Ukraine, including the strengthening of military and economic support, since the Ukrainian forces are preparing for the new offensive of Russia in the east of the country,” said the spokesman for the British Prime Minister.

“Johnson and Biden also agreed to continue joint efforts to strengthen economic pressure on (Russian President Vladimir) Putin and decisively put an end to the West dependence on Russian oil and gas,” said the representative of Downing Street.
