Johnson wants to invite Zelensky to make a visit to UK

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson plans to invite the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky to make a state visit to the kingdom in October. This was reported on Saturday by The Sunday Times.

It is emphasized that the possibility of organizing the personal meeting of Zelensky with the Queen of Great Britain Elizabeth II is being worked out. In addition, the Ukrainian president can visit the Congress of the ruling Conservative Party, which will take place in Birmingham.

As the publication notes, Johnson hopes with the help of Zelensky’s visit to increase his own rating, which is steadily reduced due to the scandal with parties in the residence on Dauning Street in the first waves of the Pandemia of Coronavirus. This has already resulted in the defeat of the conservatives at the pre -election in the House of Commons (Lower Chamber) of the British parliament in two electoral districts in England. At the same time, The Sunday Times does not exclude that if the war continued in Ukraine, Zelensky will not leave the country
