Kenyan Marathonets-Records died in an accident

The world record holder in a marathon among men 24-year-old Kenyz Kelvin Kiptum crashed into an accident in his homeland.

His coach, Rwandian Zhervez Khakiziman, also died in the accident.

as reported, the athlete lost control, moved off the road and crashed into a tree.

In October 2023, Kiptum in Chicago surpassed the achievement of his compatriot Eliuda Kippo, overcoming a distance of 42 km in two hours and 35 seconds.

Both athletes were included in the preliminary composition of the Kenya team in the marathon to participate in the Olympic Games-2024 in Paris.

Last year, Kenyan Begun won the London marathon.
