KFOR: There is no evidence of supply of weapons from Serbia to Kosovo

Employees of the International Security Forces under the auspices of NATO (KFOR) do not have evidence of the supply of weapons from Serbia to Kosovo and the use of objects of the Serbian Orthodox Church (SKC) in the quality of weapons storage. This is stated in the message of international peacekeeping forces.

“The KFOR headquarters received reports of illegal weapons, however, after a thorough investigation, no evidence was found. There is also no evidence of the alleged smuggling across the line between Kosovo and Serbia on ambulances to Orthodox churches,” the report said further in the message .

KFOR noted that investigating such actions is the responsibility of Kosovo power structures.

The Rashki-Prosrenskaya Diocese of the SPC also made a statement calling for KFOR to investigate these statements. “If this turns out to be true, any church official convicted of the alleged unlawful use of the territories and services of the SPC for transportation or storage of weapons will be subjected to the most severe church punishments and will not be able to continue their activities in the public service,” the statement said.

On the other hand, Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti stated at Cabinet’s meeting that Primetina is investigating allegations of the transportation of weapons in ambulances in the north of the country.
