Turkey is an important ally of Germany on NATO, stated German Foreign Minister Haiko Maas at a joint press conference with the head of Turkey Foreign Ministry Mevlyut Chavushoglu in Berlin, reports Anadolu.
“Germany has always emphasized this fact. The significance of Turkey will increase in the future,” said the head of German diplomacy.
German Foreign Minister also touched the topic of connections between Turkey and the European Union. “2020 was not easy for the relationship between the EU and Ankara. It seems that this year will be more positive,” said Mas.
