Kiev is unhappy with Tehran’s report on crash of Ukrainian Boeing

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba expressed extreme dissatisfaction with the final technical report of Iran on the reasons for the crash of Ukraine International Airlines flight PS 752 near Tehran in January last year.

“Today Iran published the final report on the results of the technical investigation of the disaster of the Ukrainian flight UIA PS 752 near Tehran. Previously, Ukraine sent the Iranian side more than 90 pages of comments and suggestions to the draft of this report and insisted that Iran attach them to the final document, but that what we saw today in the published report is nothing more than a cynical attempt to hide the true reasons for the downing of our plane, “said Kuleba, quoted by Interfax.

According to him, the analysis of the document proves that Iran has carried out a technical investigation with numerous violations of international standards, the Chicago Convention and the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).

Kuleba stressed that this is a big disappointment for Ukraine and the entire civilized world.

In January 2020, a UIA Boeing 737-800 passenger plane, which was supposed to perform flight PS752 on the Tehran-Kiev route, was shot down near the international airport. Imam Khomeini in Tehran just after takeoff. Onboard there were 167 passengers and nine crew members. Iranian authorities later admitted that Boeing was shot down in error by the Iranian military.
