Kissinger: Russia has suffered a strategic defeat

Former US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger first explained his sensational statements in Davos, when the Ukrainian authorities accused him of calling for the territorial concessions of Russia.

In an interview for the Institute of Bergruhens, Kissinger said that he had in mind the return to the state of things on February 24, since the recognition of Russian acquisitions from that moment will be a reward of aggression. But the question of Crimea, according to him, is another topic and subject of negotiations.

According to Kissinger, Zelensky adheres to the same position: Ukraine must regain the territory lost in recent months, then the moment will come for negotiations.

The former Secretary of State also expressed the opinion that Russia has already suffered a strategic defeat, because with the help of ordinary armed forces to defeat the weaker neighbor with the help of ordinary armed forces. This means that the long -standing fear of Europe before the Russian invasion is now exaggerated, and the balance of power in the region has changed dramatically.
