Ex-president of Armenia Robert Kocharian did not appear at the court session for health reasons, the Armenian media write.
It is reported that Kocharyan’s lawyer Aik Alumyan introduced a medical certificate to Judge Anna Danibekyan.
“How long will the treatment take place?” – asked the judge.
In response, Alumyan asked to switch to the closed format of the meeting due to the need to inform the judge more about the state of health of Kocharyan.
After that, Danibekyan asked all citizens who do not participate in the meeting, including media representatives, to leave the hall.
Recall, ex-president of Armenia Robert Kocharyan and former deputy chairman of the government Armen Gevorkyan are held as accused as part of the same criminal case. Kocharyan is charged with receiving a bribe on an especially large scale, and Gevorkyan – money laundering.
