Kremlin commented on information about accession of South Ossetia to Russia

Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov, speaking of a referendum in the unrecognized South Ossetia, said that Russia does not plan to take any steps on the accession of the “republic.”

The elected “president” of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev took the post of “head of the republic” on Tuesday, swearing at the Constitution.

“But I already spoke on this topic and again I will repeat that in this case, in this case, it was not taken from the Russian side and in this connection is not planned,” RIA Novosti quotes the words of Peskov.
