More than 12 thousand Russian servicemen are involved in the exercises on which the use of troops to ensure security in the east of Russia, Interfax reports with reference to the Eastern Military District (VVO).
Maneuvers take place under the leadership of the commander of the Troops of the VO Gennady Liquid. In several polygons, Transbaikalia is planned a number of “practical stages to work out the actions of troops in defense and offensive”, including at night, the report says.
According to the military, more than 12 thousand people take part in the teaching, up to 3 thousand units of weapons and military equipment, about 60 aircraft and helicopters, more than ten drone drones. Manevours will last until the end of the current week, reported in VVO.
