Largest NATO exercises after Cold War will begin next week

NATO’s largest military exercises after the Cold War, the “unshakable defender-2024” will begin next week.

This was announced by the Supreme Commander -in -Chief of the United Armed Forces of NATO in Europe (Saceur) General Christopher Kavoli after a meeting of the chiefs of NATO staff in Brussels.

General Kavoli said that the exercises in which about 90 thousand military personnel from 31 member of NATO and the Candidate of Sweden will be involved will be used until the end of May

“The Alliance will demonstrate its ability to strengthen the Euro -Atlantic region, transferring strength from North America through the Atlantic,” Kavoli said.

It is expected that the largest NATO exercises after the Cold War will be held in Germany, Poland and the Baltic countries and will include possible scenarios of war with Russia.
