Level of filling of Yusufeli reservoir in Turkey exceeded 145 meters

Yusufeli reservoir with hydroelectric power stations on the Chorukh River is designed to make an important contribution to the development of the northeastern provinces of Turkey.

The volume of water in the reservoir is already 608.31 million cubic meters.

The installed capacity of the Yusufeli hydroelectric power station is 558 MW, and the volume of electricity production will be 1 billion 888 million kW/hour a year, which annually will bring Turkey an income of 5 billion lires.

Electricity production will begin as soon as the water level in the reservoir reaches 166.50 m.

The construction of an artificial reservoir 70 km southwest of the city of Artvin was carried out since 2012.

The height of the damage of the reservoir reaches 275 meters, which corresponds to the height of the stack house.

The work of the Yusufeli reservoir will be regulated with other artificial water bodies “Artvin”, “Deriner”, “Borschka” and “Muratla”, which made it possible to increase the productivity of electricity in Anatolia.
