Lithuania Will Enhance Protection Of Cross -border Power Line With Poland

Lithuania will enhance the protection of the cross -border line of power transmission, which connects it with the Polish energy system, reports ERR.

“measures will be taken taking into account attempts to sabotage in the Baltic Sea and the upcoming disconnection of the Baltic countries from the Russian energy system planned for February,” the report.

The protection of the Polish-Lithuanian cross-border line of power transmission Litpol will now take care of the police instead of a private security company.

The remaining measures were not disclosed, but according to the Lithuanian government, they provide for opposition to various threats – from cyber attacks to physical impact.
