Lukashenko: I was offended by Russia

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said that it was offended by Russia when he learned about the detention in the republic in 2020 33 Russians, reports TASS.

Speaking about the history with “Wagnerovtsy”, Lukashenko noted that it was a “trifle” and “dusting” in relations between Russia and Belarus, because of which two countries would never begin to start a “fight”.

“But that you know when we detained these guys, fully materials of the FSB passed, with Putin I, such a tough conversation. Then our Russians did not say that there was some kind of Mole. We began to investigate, I Putin spoke three times on this topic. He says: “Wait, now we investigate, let’s come together with you, and we will see where the legs grow from.” It’s already a week or a few days later, “said Lukashenko.

Note that at the end of July 2020, the special services of Belarus detained a group of 33 citizens of Russia on their territory, which in Minsk were called the employees of the “private military company Wagner”. Subsequently, they were arrested. Official Kiev stated that 28 people from 33 participated in an armed conflict in the Donbas, and demanded their issuance. The Russian side regarded the detention of its citizens as “not relevant to the allied relations of Moscow and Minsk”, but accusations of their address – speculation. On August 14, 2020, Minsk returned to Russia 32 people. Another detainee, who had together with Russian citizenship, remained in the country.
