The creation of a full -fledged economic union remains the priority task in the EAEU. This was President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, stated at a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council.

“Everyone note the presence of progress in this matter, but I remain in the previous position: there should be no barriers or restrictions at all! This is the basic principle of building our union, and we must achieve the goal in the very near future,” Belorussian said President.

Lukashenko noted that the response to sanctioned pressure was the activation of interaction with the SCO, BRICS and ASEAN.

“Our response to sanctioned pressure is the intensification of interaction with the SCO, BRICS and ASEAN, the conclusion of new trade agreements and constructive mutually beneficial cooperation with everyone who is ready to be friends and work,” the Belarusian leader emphasized.

One of the priority vectors of the development of the EAEU Lukashenko called the improvement of transport infrastructure and the development of effective logistics. “In connection with the turn of our export flows to the southeast, it is very important with joint efforts to“ cut the window ”to the countries of the named region. This is a bottomless market for domestic goods,” the Belarusian president emphasized.

At the same time, the Belarusian leader noted that the countries of the associations are frankly slowly moving in matters of the formation of unified gas markets, oil and oil products.

“On a number of the most important issues of the internal agenda of Eurasian integration, we are moving difficult and frankly slowly. In addition, the Belarusian leader said that he thanked the Russian President Vladimir Putin for the decision to place tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus.
