Mikail Dzhabbarov said in Davos: Azerbaijan is ready to increase gas supplies to Europe

Minister of Economics Mikail Dzhabbarov, speaking at the International Economic Forum in Davos, said that Azerbaijan has additional energy resources to increase gas supplies to Europe.

Answering the question of the future influence of the southern gas corridor on the relationship between Azerbaijan and Europe, the head of the department emphasized that along with Europe, Azerbaijan is also one of the main suppliers to Georgia and Turkey.

“Then Greece, Bulgaria, Albania and Italy are following. The volume is currently much larger than you named. The second question is whether we have gas volumes that are not transported? Yes, there is,” Dzhabbarov said.

He also called energy resources the largest dilemma today.

“Currently, Azerbaijan is required especially a lot of energy resources, we have them, and we try to provide the market. The importance of Azerbaijani gas is a question that cannot be ignored,” Prime quotes it.

According to Dzhabbarov, the opening of the Trans -Caspian corridor will also play a large role for the implementation of energy and freight transportation from China to the west and in the opposite direction. In this regard, he emphasized that the corresponding joint investment projects with neighboring countries have already been prepared.
