Minister Kerobyan: Embargo on Turkish goods caused high inflation in Armenia

Because of the embargo on Turkish goods, inflation is recorded in Armenia. This was announced in a conversation with journalists by the Minister of Economy of Armenia Vaan Kerobyan.

According to his assessment, in the short term, this decision had negative consequences, since goods imported from other countries turned out to be more expensive.

He explained that there were expectations that the effect in the long run was to be positive.

“But the government is a collegial body, and it took another decision,” Kerobyan reminded.

The Minister said that in connection with the construction of the railway between Armenia and Azerbaijan, there are no digits yet.

“The cost of the study can be several million. When the time comes, we will do these expenses,” he concluded.
