The Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Sergey Shoigu said that Kyiv on the night of June 6 made a “undermining” of the construction of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station, which led to flooding of the territories.

“Within three days, the Ukrainian regime undertook a long-promised attack on different sections of the front, concentrating a large number of equipment and manpower for this purpose. On June 4, the forces of the 23rd and 31st mechanized brigades of the Armed Forces made an attempt in five directions. The opponent did not achieve success on any of them, suffered significant losses: 300 military personnel, 16 tanks, 26 military armored vehicles, 14 cars, ”he said.
According to Shoigu, on June 5, Kyiv made attempts to attack seven directions by the forces of five brigades. “He was stopped, suffered even more tangible losses: more than 1,600 military personnel, 28 tanks, including 8” leopards “and 3 AMX -10 wheeled tanks, 136 units of other military equipment, including 79 foreign ones,” the minister said.
“For only three days of hostilities in all directions, the losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine amounted to up to 3,715 troops, 52 tanks, 207 military armored vehicles, 134 vehicles, 5 aircraft, 2 helicopters, 48 field artillery guns and 53 unmanned aerial vehicles” – says Shoigu.
Commenting the losses in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, Shoigu said that during the reflection of the offensive, 71 Russian military was killed.
“Unfortunately, there were not without our losses. In total, during the reflection of the enemy’s offensive in the combined group of troops, 71 soldiers were killed, 210 were injured. They were gained: 15 tanks, 9 infantry combat vehicles, 2 vehicles and 9 guns,” – He added.
