“The collection of money in Azerbaijani schools is an illegal act. This is a chronic problem of society.” This was stated by the Minister of Education Emin Amrullayev, speaking on Tuesday at a briefing.
“Such a problem was even at the time when I myself studied at school. Everyone should understand that parents do not participate in school management. The state can not do everything for everyone. Mandatory education is free. I am an opponent of bribes, and We must come up with a transparent system so that the parent does not give an extra manat to the development of education. If somewhere the money is gathering, it must be voluntary, not forced, “said Amrullayev.
The head of the department also noted that teachers ‘parents’ associations are not included in the structure of the Ministry of Education.
“This organization is functioning independently,” said E. Amruullaev.
Speaking of preschool education, the Minister noted that at the moment in Azerbaijan, 1692 kindergartens from 1825 are public.
“In these institutions, more than 126 thousand children receive knowledge. Azerbaijan has 133 private kindergartens, where 5,124 children are studying. At the beginning of the year, 17,218 employees were involved in the structure of kindergartens.
“kindergartens play an important role in improving the quality of education. In recent years, Azerbaijan has achieved serious success in this area,” said Emin Amrullayev.
