Ministers suspected in participating in secret parties

Paris Prosecutor’s Office checks reports that some ministers conducted secret dinners in restaurants while there is a ban on such events in the country due to the Coronavirus COVID-19 Pandemic, Interfax reports with reference to the French media.

In the Paris police prefecture, they pointed out that the purpose of the investigation is to “establish all organizers and participants in secret parties, which were held contrary to the current sanitary and epidemiological restrictions.”

The scandal broke out after the M6 ​​TV channel showed the plot, which described that the “some ministers” secretly visited the luxury restaurants in Paris. “Ikra, champagne, menu from high-class chefs and necessarily without masks,” said the TV channel message.

According to Europe 1 radio station, the price in such restaurants ranges from 160 to 490 euros for dinner per person.

After that, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of France Gerald Darmanen wrote on Twitter that “turned to the prefecture of Paris police to check the truthfulness of the facts set out so that, in case of confirmation, bring to the responsibility of the organizers and participants of these secret dinners.”
