About 9 thousand servicemen of the Azerbaijani army were vaccinated with the COVID-19 vaccine. This was reported in the Ministry of Defense in response to a request for vaccination of the personnel of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan from COVID-19.
“According to the order of the Minister of Defense, during a pandemic, the Azerbaijani army is taking appropriate measures to protect the health of personnel and ensure complete security from COVID-19.
The Main Medical Directorate of the Ministry of Defense constantly monitors the preventive measures carried out in military units.
On February 16, the vaccination process began in order to protect the health of military personnel.
Vaccination of the personnel of the military units of the Baku garrison is carried out in the Main Clinical Hospital of the Armed Forces, and the military personnel of the military units deployed in the territories liberated from the occupation – in the corresponding military medical institutions. Until today, about 9,000 military personnel have been vaccinated with the COVID-19 vaccine, “the Defense Ministry noted.
