He noted that in 2021 the number of registered drug consumers in Azerbaijan was 34,602 people.
“But the real number of drug consumers is much larger. As a result of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs over the past 2.5 years, more than 19 thousand facts of crimes related to drugs have been identified in the country. More than 7 tons of narcotic and psychotropic substances were seized from the circulation. They mainly carry out their business through profiles used from abroad and attract young people, women. Addiction also affects the growth of the number of intra -family conflicts, ”Gumbatov said.
