Together with a person selling a fake covid passport, a citizen who bought and using this document also believes criminal responsibility, said the head of the public relations department of Azerbaijan Major Police Elshad Hajiyev.
Hajiyev stressed that the money paid for the purchase of a fake covid passport can be classified as a bribe. This is a question related to investigative actions, and, according to article 320 of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan, the manufacture and use of fake documents creates responsibility and shall be punished with a fine from 3 thousand to 6 thousand manat, correctional work for a period of up to 2 years or imprisonment for up to 2 years.
“Another article of the Criminal Code says that the deliberate use of fake documents provides even more severe punishment. A citizen who acquires such a COVID passport, makes it consciously, knowing that the document is a fake. With regard to persons who have done this act, they choose Preventive measures according to the requirements of the Criminal Procedure Code, “said Hajiyev.
