Moldavian biathlete Alina Stremous became the vice-champion of Europe in an individual race for 15 km.
According to Moldavian Gossmi, the 28-year-old Stremous lagged behind the race champion, Norwegian Marren Kirkede by 46.5 seconds. Its offlet was 42.12.7 minutes.
For the Stremous, this is the second success in the individual race at the European Championship. In 2022, she also took second place in the individual, then the 4th in the sprint, and won the persecution. And two more weeks later at the Olympics she took a high 10th place in the sprint.
Stremos is the second in the history of the Republic of Moldova as a winner of the European Biathlon Championship.
The European Biathlon Championship is held in the city of Brazno-Osrblie in Slovakia. The Moldavian biathlete has yet to perform in a sprint of 7.5 km.
The third place in the competition was taken by the athlete from Slovakia Em Kapustov. “They did not allow a single miss! The competition was very high, but Alina managed to take the second place. She lost to Norwegian Kirkede for 46 seconds, but she was ahead of the Slovak athlete for 13 seconds.
