Information and Security Service (SIB) Moldova announced the disclosure of the foreign agent network that operated in the republic.
“There are 5 people under the investigation: Moldovan citizens, two of whom were detained and were detained in December 2022, three more are in the status of suspects. They were recruited by representatives of the special services of a third country to help the actions described in the Criminal Code as a hostile activity against the Republic of Moldova, as well as in the actions of destabilization aimed at violation of the constitutional order in the state using violence, ”the Siberian Republic said in a statement
In the field of view of the law enforcement agencies, foreign citizens are also located, who, according to investigators, financed and led the subversive activities of immigrants from Moldova.
The investigation against this group has been going on since 2020. SIB believes that they are involved in the organization of mass protests, inciting interethnic growth.
