More than 125 million manat was returned to population through Birbank

In May 2020, the mechanism of the return of part of the VAT was launched by consumers – individuals for goods purchased in retail and catering facilities (with the exception of oil and gas products). The mechanism provides for the return of 15% of the amount of VAT in case of non -cash payments and 10% VAT – in cash. The main goal of the project is to increase transparency in the tax system, as well as stimulating non -cash payments.

For 2 years from the date of launch of the project, about 200 million manat was returned to the population, of which 125 million is a share of Birbank users. The number of returned checks is 500 million, 350 million. Of these, they were registered through Birbank.

The first financial partner of the project was Kapital Bank and Birbank, in the menu “Bonuses” of which the special section “ədv Geri Al” was created (“VAT return”). Birbank allows you to send a request to return part of the VAT in a more convenient and quick way, scanning the QR code of the cashier check.

Compensated funds can be transferred through Birbank to payment cards of Azerbaijani banks or used in cashless payments. To do this, both in Birbank and in the ədv geri Al portal, you need to register one phone number.

The consumer must send a request for a refund of VAT within 90 days after receiving the check of the cash desk through the portal https://edvgerial.kapitalbank.az or Birbank. To register the check, you need to enter a 12-digit fiscal code in the portal’s electronic office or scan the QR code using Birbank. With the Birkart ədv card, you can return VAT in a double size. To do this, you need to register a card in Birbank and make cashless payments.
