Morocco authorities received help after an earthquake from four countries

Morocco authorities announced their readiness to accept assistance from four countries – Spain, Catar, Great Britain and the UAE to eliminate the consequences of a powerful earthquake. This is stated in the message of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kingdom.

The department noted that the authorities carefully appreciated the necessary requirements, taking into account the potential consequences of the shortcomings of coordination in such situations.

It was reported that these four countries were sent to Morocco groups that will be engaged in search and rescue work in coordination with Moroccan colleagues.

The ministry added that the proposals of assistance “from other friendly countries can be accepted taking into account potential local needs”.

The statement expressed gratitude to the countries who reported their readiness to support Morocco against the backdrop of a destructive natural disaster.

The number of those killed as a result of an earthquake in Morocco increased to 2,122 people, another 2,421 were injured.
