Museum complex of Sultan Bayazid II in Edirne in 3 years visited 300 thousand

The museum complex of the Sultan Bayazid II in the Turkish province of Edirne in three years visited 300 thousand people.

On the territory of the complex there are both social and religious objects (mosque, hospital and other architectural structures), reflecting the understanding of the social structure of the Ottoman state.

Three years ago, employees of the University of Trakya organized in the dining room the complex of the Imaret Museum (a charitable institution, usually opened with mosques, where free dinners are provided to those in need).

The Museum, which sends visitors on a historical journey with wax statues and old kitchen utensils, attracts attention from the day of its discovery.

The museum, with the support of philanthropists, offers visitors various treats of the Ottoman period six days a week. The museum also retains the tradition of organizing Iftars (evening meals in Muslims) during the Holy Muslims of the month of Ramazan.

In an interview with Anadol, the director of the Rukha Poklivanzhik museum said that the Health Museum and the Imaret Museum located on the territory of the Sultan Bayazid II complex were awarded a large number of awards.

According to him, thousands of local and foreign tourists visit the Imaret Museum, as it reflects the color of Ottoman traditions, and in particular, caring for those in need.

”Our museum was opened 3 years ago with the support of the wife of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan Emine Emine Erdogan and speaker of the great national assembly of Turkey of that period of Mustafa Schentop. From the day of his opening, the first and only museum has attracted the attention of visitors,” said the director
