Namibia President Haga Heyngob died at age of 82

President of Namibia Haga Gaingob died at the age of 82. It is reported by The Namibian is the largest daily newspaper Namibia.

The Head of State died in the hospital of the capital of Namibia, Windhuk. According to Vice President Nallo Mbomba, Gaingob died on Saturday morning, February 3, surrounded by a wife and children.

Heyngob took office in the President of Namibia in 2015. He served as the first prime minister of the country from 1990 to 2002 under the administration of the former president Sam Nuyoma.

In recent months, Heyngob has fought health problems. On January 8, the president said that he was diagnosed with cancer. Later, January 25, the head of state went to treatment in the United States. Gaingob returned to Namibia on January 30 – after two days of treatment.
