NATO condemned attack on peacekeepers KFOR in Kosovo

NATO condemns the attack on the peacekeeping contingent of the Alliance (KFOR) in Kosovo and calls for immediate deepalacies.

This is stated in a statement by the official representative of NATO OAN LUNGESKU.

Lungrisu recalled that during a protest organized by ethnic Serbs in star, several KFOR military were injured.

“NATO condemns unreasonable attacks on the KFOR military in the north of Kosovo,” the statement said.

Lungescu called any attacks on peacekeepers unacceptable, and called for immediate deepalacies.

Lungescu also called on the parties to Kosovo to refrain from steps that could lead to an increase in violence, and proceed to the dialogue.

According to her, KFOR will take the necessary steps to ensure security in Kosovo in accordance with the resolution of the UN Security Council of 1999.

The military KFOR has used tear gas to disperse the protest promotion in front of the building of the Zvezthan municipality.

A brawl arose between protesters and peacekeepers, several military were injured.
