NATO is preparing for largest military exercises in history of Bloc

NATO is preparing for the largest exercises since the creation of the military-political bloc.

Air Defender 2023 Air Exercise will be held on June 12-23 in Germany and Eastern Europe with the participation of 250 military aircraft.

About 110 US Air Force aircraft were transferred to conduct exercises to Europe from North America.

In addition, 80 NATO aircraft from Europe and 60 aircraft of international partners will take part in the exercises.

during the period of exercises, on average, 250 sorties per day will be made.

pilots from 25 countries will make maneuvers on 20 types of aircraft, including: F-35, Eurofighter, F-18, F-16, A-10 and Gripen.

The purpose of the exercises is to strengthen the defense of the alliance, demonstrate that the deterrence factor remains in the air and “strengthen solidarity” on both sides of the Atlantic.
