NATO Secretary General: rocket was from Ukraine, but Kyiv is not to blame

The explosion in Poland with a high probability was caused by the Ukrainian air defense missile, but Kyiv is not to blame. Ultimately, the responsibility lies in Russia because it started the war. This was stated by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, writes Reuters.

“They are responsible for the war that caused this situation. Let me clarify that this is not the fault of Ukraine. There are no signs that it was a deliberate attack. Our allies agree with our approach. There is no need to apply Article 4 of the NATO Charter “,” he said at a press conference after an emergency meeting of the ambassadors of NATO countries.

According to Jens Stoltenberg, the Alliance does not see any signs that Russia is in any way preparing to attack NATO. Alliance members agreed to maintain vigilance, calm and close coordination.

NATO is ready to transfer additional air defense forces to Poland, including air and sea bases, if necessary. At the same time, the organization will continue contacts with Russia and will not break off contacts at different levels.
