NATO will deploy in Romania its AWACS long -range radar detection aircraft for intelligence against Russia.
The press service of the Alliance communed about this.
“NATO will direct AWACS aircraft to Bucharest, Romania. Aircraft must arrive on January 17, 2023, and they will support the expanded military presence of NATO in the region and track Russian military activity,” the statement said.
DPA agency with reference to military circles notes that we are talking about three aircraft.
