In Baku on Thursday, May 16, a meeting of the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko and President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev is taking place, BelTA reports.
Negotiations are held at the Presidential Palace of Zagulba – the official suburban residence of the head of the Azerbaijani state 40 km from the capital.
According to the protocol, the negotiations were preceded by ceremonial events with the participation of the guard of honor and the execution of state hymns. Members of delegations also participated in the ceremonial.
Another obligatory tradition is the photograph of the two leaders. Only after this, the heads of state retired to negotiations.
First, Alexander Lukashenko and Ilham Aliyev hold a meeting in one -on -one format, after they will join the delegations and negotiations will be held in an expanded composition.
The head of the Belarusian state arrived on an official visit to Azerbaijan on the night of May 16.
According to the press service of Lukashenko, the Belarusian board number one landed at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport.
Alekhubub Eyubov, First Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Elnur Mammadov, Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Belarus Magerram Aliyev, as well as members of the Belarusian delegation, Deputy Prime Minister Igor Petrishenko, the head of the Foreign Minister Sergei Petrishenko, Belarusian diplomatic mission Andrey Rakkov.
The presidents of Azerbaijan and Belarus during the negotiations will consider topical issues of bilateral relations with an emphasis on expanding trade and economic ties in various sectors and the development of cooperative interaction in the areas of industry and agriculture.
Another topic of negotiations will be the cooperation of Belarus and Azerbaijan at international sites and in integration associations.
The heads of state will discuss the situation in the region and in the world as a whole. Based on the results of the negotiations, a package of bilateral documents will be signed.
