New mass burial of children discovered in Canada

Another major burial was found in the Canadian Province of British Columbia on the territory of the former school for children of indigenous peoples of the North American country. The Canadian TV channel CBC reported on Wednesday.

The school was located in the city of Cranbrook and was closed in 1970. 182 nameless graves were found at this place. Presumably, they are the remains of the dead children.

Last week it became known about the discovery of 751 nameless grave on the territory next to the former boarding school for the children of Indians in Saskatchewan. At the end of May, on the territory of another school for the children of Indians in the province of British Columbia during the excavations, the remains of 215 minors were found.

These news shocked the Canadian public, which demanded from the authorities to carry out similar excavations in the territories of all former educational institutions for indigenous peoples, the last of which closed in 1996. There were also calls for the Roman Catholic Church to publish documents that would allow to detect this kind of burial and other documentation of resident schools.
