New Russian money was offered to depict Stalin and Dzerzhinsky

Communist Party Communist Maxim Surajkin offered the Central Bank of the Russian Federation to use the images of Joseph Stalin and Felix Dzerzhinsky for registration of new bills of 1,000 and 5,000 rubles, RIA Novosti reports.

According to him, the banknotes should contain outstanding personality of the past, and it is better to be those who treated money indifferent.

According to, Suraykin, the image of the Dzerzhinsky, the founder and the head of the PEC, is better suitable for bills of 1,000 rubles, and Stalin should be used for bills of largest advantage.

Russian politician is confident that at the sight of them, corrupt officials and fraudsters will shudder, and honest people will be “nice to look at their labor rubles.”

Surajkin’s appeal is due to the fact that the Central Bank of the Russian Federation has formed expert groups to select images. As possible options, objects of cultural and scientific heritage, historical monuments, natural landscapes are considered.
